1. I had a photo session for my bookbinding business with the photographer Timothy Taggart. He came to my place where I was living in Draper and took many (about 800) pictures with me and the books.

2. I got a new lens to my camera, the 50mm, and got this white wooden backdrop. These beautiful carnations were the first to be shot on the backdrop with the new lens!

3. This is the view I used to have when I was living in Draper, while making books. I recently moved to Provo but still have the mountains view from my window! Love Utah and the mountains!

4. All my love for the berries. Strawberry, blueberry and raspberry.

1. Eu tive uma sessão de fotos para meu negócio de encadernação com o fotógrafo Timothy Taggart. Ele veio pra onde morava em Draper e tirou muitas (cerca de 800) fotos de mim com os livros.

2. Comprei uma lente nova para minha câmera, a 50mm, e esse fundo branco de madeira para fotos. Esses cravos lindos foram os primeiros a serem fotografados nesse fundo com minha lente nova!

3. Essa era a vista que eu tinha quando estava morando em Draper, enquanto trabalhava com encadernação. Eu mudei recentemente para Provo mas ainda tenho a vista das montanhas na minha janela! Amo Utah e as montanhas!

4. Todo meu amor por essas frutas. Morango, mirtilo e framboesa.

Estava bem animada hoje de ir no Grande Lago Salgado. Na última vez que viajei para SLC, pude ver pela janela do avião esse grande e bonito lago, e desde então eu quis vir para ver. Não estava o mesmo azul hoje, mas com nevoeiro e cinza. Adorei muito passar um tempo lá.

I was so excited today about going to the Great Salt Lake. Last time that I travelled to SLC, I could see through the airplane window this big and beautiful lake, and I since then I wanted to come to see it. It wasn’t that same blue today, but foggy and gray. I enjoyed a lot spending some time there.

Fatos & Dicas:

• O Grande Lago Salgado é localizado no estado de Utah/EUA.
• É o maior lago de água salgada no Hemisfério Ocidental.
• Tem uma taxa de $3 de entrada no Great Salt Lake State Marina.
• Cheira mal, como peixe morto. Imagino que no verão deve ser bem pior. Mas a vista faz valer a pena.
• Quando você chegar na marina, não estacione no primeiro estacionamento que ver, continue dirigindo para ver os ramos e ter uma visão melhor do lago.

Facts & Tips:

• The Great Salt Lake is located in the state of Utah.
• It’s the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere.
• There is a $3 entrance fee at the Great Salt Lake State Marina.
• It smells bad, like dead fish. I guess in summer it must be worst. But the view is worth it.
• When you get at the marine, don’t park at the first parking lot that you’ll see, keep driving to see the bushes and to have a better view of the lake.

1. Meu nome não é comum no Brasil, as pessoas me chamavam de Samara, Samira, Samantha, Amanda mas nunca Samandra! As pessoas tem dificuldade em falar meu nome aqui nos EUA.
2. Minha família não me chamam pelo meu nome, eles me chamam por um apelido que não gosto muito.
3. Normalmente me introduzo pelo meu nome e deixo as pessoas escolherem como querem me chamar. Adoro que me chamem de Sam.
4. Sou preguiçosa em relação minha aparência durante a semana. Mas me importo muito quando vou tirar fotos!
5. Eu perco peso facilmente e levo muuuuiito tempo para ganhar. Odeio isso!
6. Me preocupo demais com quase tudo.
7. Odeio esperar.
8. Um dos prazeres para mim é finalizar coisas. O sentimento é demais!!
9. Eu quero ser muito boa em desenho, fotografia, caligrafia, web design, marketing, costura, edição de imagens no Photoshop, encadernação e inglês.
10. Amo inglês desde que era pequena. Eu ligava a TV no canal da CNN só para ouvir eles falando em inglês. Eu não entedia nada mas achava tão bonito.

1. My name is not common in Brazil, people used to call me Samara, Samira, Samantha, Amanda but never Samandra! People have a hard time to say my name here in US.
2. My family doesn’t call me by my name, they call me by a nickname that I don’t like too much.
3. I usually introduce myself by my name and let people choose the way they want to call me. I love to be called Sam.
4. I’m lazy about my appearance during the week. But I do care a lot when I will take pictures!
5. I lose weight easily and take looong time to gain some. I hate it.
6. I concern too much about almost everything.
7. I don’t like to wait.
8. One of my pleasures is to get things done. The feeling is so amazing!!
9. I want to be very good at drawing, photography, calligraphy, web design, marketing, sewing, editing pictures on Photoshop, bookbinding and English.
10. I love English since I was little. I used to turn on the TV at CNN just to listen to them talking in English. I couldn’t understand anything but I thought it was so beautiful.

11. Eu amo os EUA e sou muito grata cada dia por viver aqui.
12.  Não sou boa em primeiras impressões. Posso achar que a pessoa é devagar, entediante, chata, ou então legal demais e mais tarde vejo que estava errada.
13. Eu gosto de fazer coisas em grupo de amigos mas eu amo amizades um a um.
14. Me apego muito fácil nas pessoas e muitas vezes é difícil deixar elas irem.
15. Me mudei muitas vezes na minha vida! Morei em sete cidades (três estados) no Brasil e em duas cidades (dois estados) nos EUA.
16. Amo viajar. Amo caminhadas e estar fazendo coisas fora de casa.
17. Sou chata com fotos. Meus amigos sabem que não será apenas um clique.
18. Às vezes penso que queria ser modelo, mas sou baixinha. Amo estar em fotos.
19. Nunca gostei de café. Minha mãe bebe muito e quando ela dava pra mim eu colocava um monte de açúcar e leite para não sentir o gosto. Mas amo o cheiro de café fresco!
20. Eu odiava gatos. Uma vez um gato veio até à porta de casa e dei leite pra ele e depois disso eu AMO gatos. Hoje gato é meu animal preferido.

12. I’m not good at first impressions. I can think the person is slow, boring, annoying, or then so awesome and cool and later I’ll see I was wrong about it.
13. I like to hangout in a group of friends but I love one-to-one friendships.

15. I’ve moved many times in my life! I lived in seven cities (three states) in Brazil and I lived in two cities (two states) in US.

18. Sometimes I wish to be a model, but I’m so short for it. I love to be in pictures.
19. I never liked coffee. My mom drinks a lot and when she gave it to me I would put a lot of sugar and milk to not feel the taste. I love the smell of fresh coffee though!
20. I used to hate cats! Once I saw a cat by the door and I gave some milk to him and after that day I LOVE cats. Today cat is my favorite animal.

21. Comida italiana é minha favorita! Também amo comida chinesa e brasileira é claro! Não gosto de comida japonesa e mexicana.

23. Sou membro de A Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Últimos Dias e amo isso muito!

21. Italian food is my favorite!! I also love Chinese food and Brazilian of course! I don’t like Japanese and Mexican food.
