My roomie and I wanted to go on a road trip before school starts this Tuesday, so we decided to go to the Mystic Hot Springs. I had seen pictures of this place on Instagram so it was on my list to visit! We left from Provo around 1 pm, went to pick up a friend, ate something on our way, and we got there around 4 pm. We had bought our tickets online, so we just we had to check-in when we arrived. After that, we headed to the bathtubs!

Minha amiga e eu queríamos ir em alguma viagem aqui perto antes das aulas começarem nesta terça, então decidimos ir no Mystic Hot Springs aqui em Utah. Eu tinha visto fotos no Instagram desse lugar, então estava na minha lista de lugares pra ir! A gente saiu de Provo pelas 13h, passamos pra pegar um amigo, comemos algo no caminho, e chegamos lá pelas 16h. A gente tinha comprado os ingressos online, então a gente só teve que fazer check-in quando chegamos. Depois disso, fomos para as banheiras!

It was a hot day this Saturday, and the water was also super warm. So I recommend going at the end of the day so you only have to deal with the hot water, and not both!

Estava bem quente nesse sábado, e a água também estava bem quente. Então eu recomendo de ir no fim da tarde pois assim você só precisa lidar com a água quente, e não os dois!

A short extract from their website: “The water comes out of the ground at 168 degrees Fahrenheit (75 degrees C.) and at 200 gallons/minute. As the water flows, the minerals cool and form layers of rock. This spring has been flowing out continuously for millions of years. Over time, the mineral buildup has created a mound that is a mile across, 200 ft deep, 200 yards wide.” Super cool, uh?!

Um pedacinho de um texto do site deles: “A água sai do chão à 75 graus C. e a 200 galões/minuto. À medida que a água flui, os minerais esfriam e formam camadas de rocha. Essa águas termais tem fluído continuamente por milhões de anos. Ao longo do tempo, o acúmulo de minérios criou essas rochas que tem 200 pés de profundidade, 200 metros de largura.” Legal né?!

There is a gift shop, where you see a lot of hippie stuff. There are some old trucks in the yard where people can rent to spend the night. There was also music playing on which created a cool vibe. This place can be romantic for couples, so one day when I have a boy I want to come back there again. Lol. It was such a cool experience going to Mystic Hot Springs!

Lá tem uma gift shop, onde tem um monte de coisas hippie. Tem uns caminhões velhos no quintal onde pessoas podem alugar para passar a noite. Tinha música tocando, o que criou uma vibe bem legal. Esse lugar pode ser bem romântico para casais, então o dia que eu tiver um boy eu quero voltar lá de novo. Haha. Foi um experiência bem legal ir no Mystic Hot Springs!

Tips & Info:

• The springs is located in Monroe/UT, 134 miles from Provo.
• Soaking passes cost $15 per person.
• You can stay for 6 hours after the check-in.
• You can buy the passes on their website or at the gift shop.
• There is a restroom in the gift shop where we changed our clothes.
• Somehow we all felt so hungry while we were there even though we had lunch before. So make sure to eat before and bring snacks if you want to stay longer.

Dicas & Info:

• Esse lugar fica em Monroe/UT, 215 km de Provo.
• Os ingressos para as águas termais custam $15 por pessoa.
• Você pode ficar por até 6 horas depois do check-in.
• Você pode comprar os ingressos online ou na gift shop.
• Tem um banheiro dentro da gift shop onde a gente trocou nossas roupas.
• Por alguma razão a gente ficou com muita fome enquanto a gente estava lá, mesmo que a gente almoçou antes de ir pra lá. Então coma antes de ir, e traga uns snacks pra comer lá.
