Yesterday my friend Laura and I drove to this beautiful place, which is about 30 minutes from home. How blessed are we for having these hidden gems so close to us?!

The last two miles to get there is a dirt road, with lots of rocks and holes, and it made me think of this quote “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.” Amen to that! ;)

Ontem minha amiga Laura e eu dirigimos para esse lugar lindo, que fica uns 30 minutos de casa. Me sinto abençoada por ter esses lugares lindos tão perto!

Os últimos três quilômetros foram estrada de chão, com um monte de pedras e buracos, e isso me fez pensar daquela frase “Estradas difíceis levam à destinos bonitos.” Amém pra isso! ;)

Three important things:

1. I used to post everything in my blog Kandis Design, but I decided to create this new blog (new but old, as I kept old posts here) where I could post more of my travels, stories, and inspirations. So head to the Kandis Design blog if you want to see posts about my bookbinding brand.
2. I have so much to catch up with all I have done in these past years, and now with this space I feel that I don’t have to worry anymore about over-sharing of myself. So know that you’re are going to see A LOT of what I have done, what I think, and what I like. I’m excited to share these things with you!
3. I will be starting a YouTube Channel soon! Yesterday my friend Laura made some clips which I will be putting together to make a welcome video. :) I want to share what I know, what I think, and my adventures in that channel. Is there anything that you would like me to share?

Três coisas importantes:

1. Antes eu postava tudo no meu blog Kandis Design, mas decidi criar esse novo blog (novo mas velho, já que mantive as postagens antigas aqui) para postar mais das minhas viagens, bate papo, e inspirações. Então vá para o blog Kandis Design se você quiser ver as postagens da minha marca de encadernação.
2. Tenho tanto ainda para postar sobre o que fiz nesses últimos anos, e agora com esse espaço eu sinto que não preciso mais me preocupar em estar compartilhando demais sobre mim. Então saiba que vou compartilhar UM MONTE do que tenho feito, o que penso, e o que gosto. Estou animada por isso!
3. Tenho recebido tantas perguntas nesses últimos anos sobre como é morar aqui, o que faço, como consegui estudar numa universidade aqui, e tantas outras coisas que decidi que a melhor forma de responder a tudo isso seria falando! Então estarei criando um canal no YouTube em breve para responder à tudo isso, e também compartilhar o que sei sobre outras coisas, o que gosto, e minhas viagens.
