While I was searching for places to visit in San Francisco, I found a picture of a man standing on a rock having the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. After that, I became a little obsessed to find that location and to have my picture taken there. We didn’t have time to go to this place while I was in SF in June, so I knew that I would have to come back to SF sometime, I just didn’t know that it would happen so soon…
It all started when I received a message on my Instagram of someone asking if I could take their pictures in San Francisco. I was like, “I live in Utah, but I can travel”. As soon I had everything figured out, I got the airplane tickets, made plans for these days, and waited with a lot of expectation for this date. My original plans changed last minute and honestly, I’m happy it turned out this way!
Quando eu estava procurando por lugares para visitar em São Francisco, eu achei a foto de um homem numa pedra com a Golden Gate no fundo. Depois disso eu fiquei um pouco obsessiva em encontrar esse lugar e para ter minha foto tirada lá. A gente não teve tempo pra ir lá, quando eu estava em SF em junho, então eu sabia que eu teria que voltar pra SF, eu só não sabia que isso aconteceria tão cedo…
Tudo começou quando eu recebi uma mensagem no meu Instagram de alguém perguntando se eu tirava fotos em São Francisco. Eu disse, “Eu moro em Utah, mas eu posso viajar”. Assim que tinha tudo certo, comprei o voo, fiz planos para esses dias, e esperei ansiosamente por esse dia. Meus planos originais mudaram de última hora, e honestamente, que bom que foi assim!
At this time we had done so much and were tired already. So we were in the car considering if we really should go to find the rock, then Cody (who took my pictures this day) said that we should go as this was basically the most important picture to me in SF. I’m glad he said that otherwise we probably wouldn’t have gone, and I would come back again to Utah without my picture standing on that rock.
It was a long hike down, and then walking on the shore line until we finally found the rock! I know, it may seem so silly to many of you that I wanted so bad a certain picture, but if you like pictures as me you know where I come from. 🙂 So here is guys, a picture of me standing on this rock! After all, I felt accomplished that I got the picture that I wanted. Have you ever had an experience like this? I want to hear you!!
A essa hora a gente já tinha feito muita coisa, e estávamos cansados. Então a gente estava no carro pensando se a gente devia mesmo ir achar essa bendita pedra, aí Cody (que tirou minhas fotos nesse dia) disse que a gente devia sim ir, já que essa era a razão pela qual eu tinha voltado pra SF. Ainda bem que ele disse isso, senão a gente não teria ido, e eu teria voltado pra casa sem foto na pedra, de novo.
Foi uma caminhada longa na trilha, e depois caminhando na beira do mar, até que a gente achou a pedra! Eu sei, pode parecer coisa boba pra muita gente, mas se você gosta de fotos tanto quanto eu você sabe como eu me sinto. 🙂 Então está aqui gente, uma foto de mim em cima dessa pedra! No final, me senti realizada de ter tirado uma foto como queria. Você já teve uma experiência como essa de querer tanto uma foto em algum lugar? Me contem!!
This trip was filled with a lot of coincidences… To summarize, I got to meet an old friend which I haven’t seen for years, I met a friend from Utah who also went to CA for a few days, I got the same flight as my friend’s friend, and we sat in the same row! Crazy, uh?!
Essa viagem foi cheia de coincidências… Para resumir, eu encontrei um amigo das antigas, encontrei uma amiga de Utah que também estava lá por alguns dias, e acabei pegando o mesmo voo do amigo do meu amigo, e a gente sentou na mesma fileira! Coisa doida né?!

We parked close to the trail (you can follow these coordinates 37.803419, -122.476556), walked on the Battery to Bluffs Trail, and from there we followed the signs (and the intuition) to Marshall’s Beach.
