Georgetown é um bonito bairro histórico cheio de lojas e prédios coloridos. Me lembrou bastante de Old Town em Alexandria, VA. Peguei o metro e depois um ônibus perto da estação Foggy Bottom, e levou cerca de dez minutos para chegar em Georgetown. Quando cheguei lá fiquei feliz que decidi ir de transporte público em vez de carro, o trânsito lá é pesado e difícil de dirigir e estacionar! Não vá de carro!

Georgetown is a beautiful historic neighborhood with lots of shops and colored cute buildings. It remembered me a lot of Old Town in Alexandria, VA. I left here by metro and got a bus close to the Foggy Bottom metro station, and It took me about ten minutes to get to Georgetown. When I got there I was glad I decided to go by public transportation, the traffic there is heavy and it’s hard to drive and park! Don’t go by car!

Tem um monte de restaurantes e lugares para sentar para aproveitar a vista do Rio Potomac. Foi a primeira vez que fui em Georgetown então decidi só caminhar pela cidade para conhecer, mas quero voltar outra vez é ir num desses cruzeiros que tem no Rio Potomac.

There are lots of restaurants and places to sit and enjoy the view along the Potomac River. It was the first time I went to Georgetown so I decided to just walk around to get to know the area, but I want to go back to take one of the cruises they have on the Potomac River.

Para terminar o dia fomos no Georgetown Cupcakes para provar os famosos cupcakes! Quase desistimos de ficar naquela fila com mais de cinqüenta pessoas, mas finalmente decidimos ficar. Pedi cupcakes de caramelo e coco e estavam deliciosos! Melhor forma de terminar o dia!

To finish the day we went to the Georgetown Cupcake to try the famous cupcakes! We almost gave up staying in that line because it had more than fifty people, but we finally decided to stay and wait. I got the caramel and coconut cupcakes and it was delicious! It was a good way to finish the day!
