We wandered through The Thanksgiving Point Gardens, discovering something interesting in every corner. We went walking on the 50-acres of garden, but there were some people using golf carts and Segways. Sometimes I wished I had one of those, haha.

Nós caminhamos sem destino no Thanksgiving Point Gardens, descobrindo algo interessante em cada canto. Nós fizemos o passeio caminhando no 50 acres de jardim, mas tem pessoas que usam carros de golfe e Segways (um negócio interessante de duas rodas. Pesquise no Google para ver fotos).  Às vezes queria um desses, haha.

SORRIA! Esse lugar é lindo demais!

>> Mountain Garden: We were dazzled many times by things we weren’t expecting, like this waterfall. Later I found out that this is the largest man-made waterfall in the Western Hemisphere! Wow cool, uh?!

>> Mountain Garden: A gente ficava deslumbrados muitas vezes por coisas que não estávamos esperando, como essa cachoeira. Descobri depois que essa é a maior cachoeira feita pelo homem no Hemisfério Ocidental. Legal hein?!

>> Rose Garden: These Hybrid Tea Roses caught my eyes.

It was hard to take a picture here without someone in the background! So many people were walking here and there all the time!

>> Rose Garden: Essas rosas me chamaram a atenção de tão lindas.

Foi difícil tirar uma foto nesse lugar sem ter alguém no fundo! Muita gente andando pra lá e pra cá toda hora!

These pictures were taken in April at the Festival of Tulips, an annual event at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. It was my first time at the TPG, and I was in awe with such a beautiful place. I liked this place so much that I got the membership, so I can go back maaaany times!!!

The trees were green, the flowers colorful. The waters fell down in the waterfalls, and the birds sang… A perfect spring day.

Essas fotos foram tiradas em Abril no Festival de Tulipas, um evento anual do Thanksgiving Point Gardens. Foi minha primeira vez no TPG, e fiquei muito impressionada com tanta beleza. Gostei tanto desse lugar que fiz o cadastro para membro, para poder voltar muuuitas vezes!!!

As árvores estavam verdes, as flores todas coloridas, as águas na cascata, os pássaros cantando… Foi um dia perfeito de primavera.

It was chilly in the morning when I left home, and later in the afternoon, it got warm, and I couldn’t take my sweater off!

Estava frio de manhã quando sai de casa, e depois à tarde ficou quente, e não pude tirar a blusa!

Walking through the Gardens, I felt as if I had been taken out of the brown-ish Utah. It felt like any other place, but Utah! In fact, the Thanksgiving Point Gardens reminded me a lot about the National Arboretum in Washington D.C. Seriously, I couldn’t imagine that there was a place so beautiful as this so close and right here in Lehi.

Caminhando no jardim, senti como se tivesse sido tirada da amarronzada Utah, senti como se estivesse em qualquer outro lugar, menos Utah! Na verdade, o Thanksgiving Point Gardens me lembrou bastante do National Arboretum em Washington D.C. Sério, nunca pensei que tinha um lugar tão lindo como esse aqui tão perto, ali em Lehi.

I LOVE this combination of flowers + mountains! Utah, you have my heart!

AMO essa combinação de flores + montanhas! Utah, você tem meu coração!

Today it’s been exactly two years I’ve been living in USA! Time goes by so fast that I don’t feel it’s been that long… I have travelled a lot during this time. I’ve to say I’ve travelled more in the USA in these two years than in Brazil. I’d only been to four states in my 20-ish years I lived there.

Traveling in the USA is less expensive than traveling in Brazil. I’ve gone on so many road trips since it’s way cheaper than traveling by plane. The only flying tourist trip I did it was in October 2013 from Arkansas to SLC, but besides that they were road trips!

Hoje faz exatamente dois anos que estou morando nos EUA! O tempo passa tão rápido que não me dei conta… Viajei bastante durante esse tempo. Tenho que dizer que eu viajei mais nos EUA nesses dois anos do que no Brasil. Só estive em quatro estados nos meus 20 e poucos anos que morei lá.

Viajar nos EUA é bem mais barato que no Brasil. Eu fui em muitas viagens de estrada já que é bem mais barato que viajar de avião. A única viagem a turismo que fiz de avião foi em outubro de 2013 de Arkansas para Utah, mas fora isso foram todas viagens de estrada!

States I’ve Visited: New York, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, North Carolina, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida.
Passed Through on Road Trips/ Flight Layover: Colorado, Iowa, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky.

If we count each state that I step my feet there, I’ve been to 25 states in two years! I’ve been thinking about posting on the blog about these trips I’ve been on. Would you like to see that?
