This is the second time that I have been to the Ice Castles and it was soo good again! This Winter has been a bit warmer than usual and I was wondering how they have been keeping these sculptures frozen! But it was still so cold that we were walking there for less than an hour, and our feet were so painful cold. So we stopped to get a bit warmer at the fire pits. It was such a fun night with my fav people. Hope you like the pics!!

Essa foi a segunda vez que fui no Ice Castles, e foi tão legal de novo! Todo ano eles fazem essas esculturas no gelo, e é incrível de ver como essas esculturas estão de pé ainda já que esse inverno tem sido mais quente do que o normal. Mas ainda tava frio, o suficiente pra deixar nossos pés doloridos do frio. Então a gente parou nesses lugares que tem fogo para se esquentar. Foi uma noite muito boa com minhas pessoas favoritas. Espero que goste das fotos!!

After this semester, all that I wanted was to be away from Utah for a few days. Don’t get me wrong, I love Utah and my life here, but I needed a break from the things that would make me think about school, work, and errands. So I went to Michigan a day after I took my last final and it was great to be there for a few days!

Depois desse semestre tudo o que eu mais queria era ficar alguns dias longe de Utah. Não me entenda errado, eu amo Utah e minha vida aqui, mas eu precisava muuuito umas férias pra minha cabeça, das coisas que me lembraria de estudar, trabalhar, e resolver coisas. Fui então pra Michigan um dia depois de terminar minha última prova final. Eu precisava muito disso, e foram ótimos meus dias lá!

Steven and I have been friends for over 13 years, and now his family is like my own family, so there was no better place to spend Christmas. I bought the ticket to Arizona, where they were living at that time, but they end up moving to Michigan, so the plans end up changing completely. But I was glad that they have moved! This way I end up checking off one more state of my list to visit.

We went to this location before Christmas as it wasn’t snowing yet, otherwise, it would be hard to get there. This day, Jennifer left their kids with Steven and we went to visit some locations that I wanted to go. It was so windy that it hurt so bad. But it was beautiful, and it was worth it!

Steven e eu somos amigos por mais de 13 anos, e agora a família dele é como minha própria família. Então não tinha lugar melhor para passar o Natal. Eu tinha comprado minhas passagens pro Arizona, onde eles moravam na época, mas eles acabaram se mudando pro Michigan, e os planos mudaram completamente. Ainda bem que mudaram, assim acabei checando mais um estado da minha lista.

A gente foi antes do Natal, já que ainda não tinha nevado, senão a gente não ia ter conseguido ir lá. Nesse dia, Jennifer deixou as crianças com Steven e nós duas fomos visitar alguns lugares que estava na minha lista. Tava muito frio, ventoso que doía! Mas era tão bonito que valeu a pena!

These pictures were taken at the beginning of September, but as usual, I take awhile to post what I do here on my blog. I got caught in school lately, doing lots of homework, studying for midterms, and I guess this explains it all.

Essas fotos foram tiradas no começo de Setembro, mas como sempre, eu levo um tempo pra postar sobre as coisas que faço nesse blog. Eu fiquei bem ocupada com a faculdade, fazendo um monte de tarefas, estudando para provas, e acho que isso já explica tudo né.

Utah is such a beautiful place during Fall. It was all colors everywhere you looked at. I love how beautiful the mountains looked with those changing colors trees, that was even dangerous to drive because all I wanted was to look at them!

Utah fica lindo no outono. São cores para todo que é lado, e eu amo como as montanhas ficaram todas coloridinhas por causa das cores nas árvores. Dá até medo de dirigir porque eu só quero ficar olhando pra todo que é lado!

Right after Summer, this stream has lots of water, but at this time it’s all gone, and you can walk on these rocks. It’s so cool!!

Logo depois do verão esse lugar de pedras fica cheio de água, mas nessa época do ano a água acaba lá, e dá pra caminhar nas pedras. É bem legal!!

These pictures were taken at the Temple Quarry Trail in Sandy. For those who don’t know it, that’s the place where the pioneers took the granite to build the Salt Lake Temple. All cut by hand! Every time I go to this place I get to think how wonderful, hard-working, and faithful these people were to do such thing. If you haven’t been there, you should!!

Essas fotos foram tiradas na trilha chamada Temple Quarry, que fica na cidade de Sandy. Pra quem não sabe, foi nesse lugar que os pioneiros foram retirar granito para usar no Templo de Salt Lake. Tudo cortado à mão! Toda vez que vou nesse lugar eu penso sobre como essas pessoas foram incríveis, sem medo de trabalho difícil, e com uma fé enorme para fazer tal coisa. Se você ainda não foi lá, você deve!
